International Information

ERA-PG
The European Research Area- Plant Genomics (ERA-PG) began in January 2004 with the aim of structuring plant genomic research in the EU to optimize investment and provide a co-ordinated response towards common European challenges.
ERA-PG launched it’s first Transnational Call for Proposals for Collaborative Research Projects in Plant Genomics in 2006.

European Plant Genomic and Biotechnology platform
The European Technology Platform "Plants for the Future" is a stakeholder forum on plant genomics and biotechnology that was initiated by the European Commission on the request of the Brussels European Council of March 2003. The aim of the platform is to provide a long term vision of plant genomics and biotechnology that would be used to advise the European Commission on future funding and research policy in this area.

European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO)
EPSO is an organisation which brings together plant scientists from across Europe.
It aims to encourage a better understanding of plant science, increase European investment into basic plant science and coordinate research strategies with in the EU

Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee (MASC)
MASC was originally formed as a committee that represented the countries and programmes around the world that carried out Arabidopsis research.
Today it has progressed into a body of members which, aim to coordinate the plethora of Arabidopsis functional genomic research and encourage relations and communication across the globe.
